SEtech are currently working on a wide range of projects including the design of suction can foundations for a deep water oil and gas developement off West Africa, trenching assessments for pipelines and cables in the North Sea, Mediterranean and South China Sea and preliminary foundation design for a proposed UK offshore wind farm

Due to a rapid increase in workload, we currently have vacancies for geotechnical engineers in North Shields and working with our parent company Gardline, in Great Yarmouth.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer (North Shields, Tyne and Wear)

A Senior Geotechnical Engineer with consultancy and design experience is required to join our rapidly expanding team in North Shields. Preference will be given to candidates with a civil engineering and / or a second degree in geotechnics. In addition to academic achievements, applicants should be able to demonstrate initiative, leadership qualities and a keenness to learn new skills.

The successful candidate will be part of the senior management team and be responsible for project management and the supervision and development of junior staff.

Intermediate Geotechnical Engineers (North Shields, Tyne and Wear)

Vacancies also exist for engineers with geotechnical interpretation and design experience who are looking for a new and exciting challenge.

The successful applicants will be able to gain a wide range of experience working with major developers and contractors in the UK and Worldwide. Whilst based in North Shields, he or she will have the opportunity to travel both within the UK and abroad and must be willing to work offshore for short periods.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer (Great Yarmouth, Norfolk)

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to develop a geotechnical team in Great Yarmouth. Working closely with our parent company, Gardline, the successful candidate will be responsible for integrating geophysical and geotechnical marine survey data and producing interpretative reports under the guidance of the North Shields office.

As with all our current vacancies, there is likely to be opportunities to travel overseas and to work offshore for short periods. There is likely to be an initial period spent in North Shields to familiarise yourself with the staff, skills and activities at SEtech.
