Design

SEtech undertake geotechnical design for a wide range of temporary and permanent subsea structures for the offshore oil and gas industry. Our experienced analysts use state of the art design software to produce innovative, practical and cost-effective solutions.

SEtech use finite element programs to model soil-structure interaction associated with more unusual and complex structures. Design is undertaken in accordance with industry accepted standards and all work complies with our Quality Management System which is certified to ISO 9001:2000.

Detailed design commissions have included:

- Greater Plutonio Development (Offshore Angola, West Africa)

Selection of soil parameters and geotechnical and structural design of flowline anchor piles and geotechnical aspects of FPSO piles, riser tower and manifold piles.

- Duba Offload Platform (Saudi Arabia)

Design of support structure piles and driving analysis in carbonate soils.

- Erha Development (Offshore Nigeria, West Africa)

Design of suction anchors including selection of geotechnical design parameters, limit equilibrium analysis, creep, set up and cyclic load considerations.

- Sycamore Field (UKCS, North Sea)

Detailed design of mudmats for installation load cases and pile design for working load cases for tow head structures. Pile driveability analysis.
